This secure Web service provides an interface to a subset of gnuplot functionality. The idea is that if gnuplot can give you a graph you like then you may be able to use this web service to generate that graph programmatically. The web service API can be easier to use than directly running gnuplot yourself.
The OMII Cauchy Horizons application (installed by the OMII Stack Installer) uses an insecure version of PlotWS on a demo server. As shown below, this provides a constantly updating visualisation of results as they are downloaded and sent to the PlotWS graph service.
