All content from ISSGC'07 now available in ICEAGE Library

A collection of 28 presentations captured at the ISSGC '07 have been made available online for the first time. The topics covered include: the basics of distributed computing, using common middlewares, real applications of grids, grid software engineering, the future of grid computing, and more. This collection provides a fantastic education for students who are interested in using or studying grid computing, and allows students from around the world to hear presentations from the world experts. Speakers include Malcolm Atkinson, Qian Depei, Erwin Laure, Miron Livny, David Snelling, to name just a handful.

In the past few years the International Summer School on Grid Computing (ISSGC) has become the flagship event for Grid education. The ISSGC brings together many of the leaders in grid computing and gives students an intensive and comprehensive education in all things grid. Unfortunately places at the ISSGC are limited and so only a sprinkling of students benefit from the excellent tuition on offer there. To open the content up to a larger audience the best presentations from this year's summer school, ISSGC '07, have been re-purposed and made available online for the first time.

The ICEAGE (International Collaboration to Extend and Advance Grid Education) Digital Library is an online repository of educational resources specifically related to grid computing. This includes bespoke content developed through ICEAGE, and other resources catalogued from external sources. Several projects contribute to this library: EGEE, ICEAGE, OMII-Europe, SEE-Grid, & UK eScience. There is a wealth of excellent educational resources that can be reused to teach students and researchers. External organizations can (and are encouraged!) to add new content to the library to share new developments in the area. There are currently over 7500 items in the library but the area moves quickly and new content is being added daily.
