OMII-UK at the AHM 2009 and IEEE eScience 2009

If you’re attending the UK All Hands Meeting (AHM) and the IEEE eScience 2009 conference, come to the OMII-UK stand (no. 17) and find out how we can help you get more from e-Research. OMII-UK and our partners will be demonstrating the latest developments made this year in fields ranging from climate research to protein modelling.

Interactive OMII-UK

Getting information about our work out to conference delegates requires a lot of printing. This can be wasteful, so this year we are providing information about OMII-UK on an interactive powerpoint. You can find out more about OMII-UK, read about our latest successes and watch videos of our software in action.

Download a pdf copy(info) of the presentation (not interactive).

Live CD

The LiveCD is a Linux install that boots from CD and uses only system memory (i.e. RAM). It allows our users to run software demos without having to install and configure the software.

Two software packages are demonstrated on the LiveCD. Campus Grid Toolkit is an easy-to-install and easy-to-use software package that makes it straightforward to access and control all of the computational and data resources that are available to you. Rapid is a unique way of quickly designing and delivering web portal interfaces to applications that require computational resources, such as utility computing infrastructures or high-performance computing facilities.
