Known issues for the Campus Grid Toolkit version 1.1

The following list describes known issues with the operation of the Campus Grid Toolkit.

WSRF::Lite

There is a known problem with the Perl libraries supplied for use with WSRF::Lite when used on Redhat Enterprise 4 64 bit. The libraries fail to link against the system's OpenSSL libraries. This in turn causes AHE to not operate correctly. This issue will affect Server installations configured to use "Managed Execution" mode (AHE) and will not affect servers configured to use "Direct GridSAM" mode. This issue does not apply when using 32 bit RedHat Enterprise or when using SuSE Linux 10.1 64bit or similar.

Installation as root user

CGT 1.1 is currently unable to be installed as the root user. If you are the root user of a system and wish to install the server, then we recommend you set up a dedicated normal user account, then install the server as that user.
