Investment in UK e-Infrastructure services has helped to build computing and data resources that underpin a wide range of research activities. Increasing the uptake of these services even further is the task of the e-Uptake project.
The e-Uptake project will uncover and document barriers to – and enablers of – the uptake of e-Infrastructure services. Interviews with researchers from all disciplines will be conducted, and used to devise ways to foster greater uptake. Including training and outreach events and the development of a UK ‘one-stop-shop’, which will provide support and event information as well as training materials.
JISC funds the e‑Uptake project as part of the community-engagement strand of its e-Infrastructure programme (which also includes the Engage and the eIUS projects) to provide a consistent approach to community engagement and research on the uptake of e-Infrastructure.
